The Correlation Between Students’ Reading Anxiety and Their Reading Comprehension in ESP Context

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between reading anxiety and comprehension of ESP students in Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. The participants this were 50 first-year Governmental Science who took intensive I. used correlational design two variables (Reading Reading comprehension). In collecting data, English Foreign Language Anxiety Inventory (EFLRAI) questionnaire was investigate level potential causes anxiety. Moreover, assembling students' researcher constructed a test specifically for governmental science students. Based on results, non-English department belong moderate Specifically, is divided into three main aspects; top-down anxiety, bottom-up classroom It found out that most potent sources namely unclear-meaning vocabulary written text. Regarding level, have low score. Besides, research findings illustrated there negative moderate-strong Comprehension means, higher have, lower their score they obtained.
